The extraordinary cabinet meeting of government decided to slash the salaries of all ministries’ officials by 8 pct, aripaev.ee writes.
The cut won’t affect the salaries of all people who get paid by the state, but only ministries’ officials (including Ministers) and PM Andrus Ansip.
The government also agreed that all ministries have to cut expenditures by 11.8 pct.
The government didn’t reach any specific agreement on Employment Act. They agreed on making working group for that issue. The working group would be formed of all ministers, including PM.
The government also reached agreement on increasing non-tax income by EEK 2.3 bln.
