Number of labour disputes grows rapidly

The number of labour disputes that are handled by the Labour Inspectorate in Estonia has been going up 57% in the last two years, writes Äripäev.

Anni Raigna, head of Labour Inspectorate’s advisory service of labour relations, said that while inspectors visited 86 companies in 2012, the number last year was 135.

Most claims filed by employees concern unpaid wages and termination of employment, especially in sectors like construction, trade and transport.
