In connection with the closure of the Estonian Embassy in Bulgaria, Finland will represent Estonia in visa issues in that country; the government endorsed the respective agreement between Estonia and Finland on Thursday.
Finland will start issuing visas to persons residing in Bulgaria who need a Schengen visa to visit Estonia. Finland also has the right to refuse to issue a visa in the name of Estonia. The agreement will enter into force from 15 June 2012 and it has been signed for an indefinite period.
