Postimees writes that, according to the survey, 67 percent of Estonians are spending their summer holidays abroad.
At the top of the survey is Luxembourg in which 99 percent of population is spending a holiday abroad. Luxembourg was followed by Belgium, Ireland, Slovenia and Denmark.
62 percent of Lithuania’s and 53 percent of Latvians also prefer to spend a summer holiday abroad.
On the other hand, the percentage of Greeks traveling abroad for summer vacation was only 11 percent. Spain’s figure was 14 percent and 83 percent of French were staying at home for the summer. Also 69 percent of Finns spend their summer holidays at home.
Authors of the survey published in European Voice said that it was still unclear why there were such huge differences between countries of the same region such as the Baltic states and Scandinavia.
